APRIL 21, 1988, PRATTVILLE, ALABAMA PAGE FIVE SOCIETY cker vows solemnized Irene Wicker became the bride of Peyton Alexander Langford, III, of Autaugaville in a double-ring ceremony on March 19, in the Bethesda Baptist Church at Independence. The bride is the daughter of Lt. Col. and Mrs. I.B.

Wicker and the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert E. Harrison of Montgoemry, and the late Peyton A. Langford, Jr.

The Reverend Ivo Livingston officiated at the ceremony at six o'clock in the evening before a nuptial setting of spiral and tree candelabra holding burning tapers, two pedestal urns of peach and white bridal flowers, and centered with a kneeling bench. Candles in a medallion of magnolia foliage placed in each window completed the decorations. The program of music was by Pattie Crowley, organist and Donald Smith, vocalist. The bride, given in marriage by her father, chose a gown of ivory tissue taffeta with cathedral length train. The bodice of alencon lace, embroidered with pearls and irridescents, was styled with sweetheart neckline and leg-0mutton sleeves of taffeta and lace.

Her finger-tip veil of illusion was secured by a band of lace petals with pearl stamens and she carried MR. AND MRS. GEORGE TODD SHERIDAN a bouquet of roses and pixie carnations centered with cymbidium orchids. Mrs. Ted Maddox was her sister's matron of honor.

Attendants were Mrs. Doug McCord, Margie Jones and Stacey Maddox. Their aisle length gowns of teel green taffeta were designed with short puffed sleeves, sweetheart necklines and peplums ending in a deep in the back. Shanna Maddox, junior attendant, wore a long ivory taffeta gown styled with scoop neckline and a cummerbund of teel green. Their flowers were bouquets of peach, aqua and ivory silk flowers.

The groom was attended by his step-father, Robert E. Harrison of Montgomery. Groomsmen were Johnny Marshall, Boyd Wainwright, Reed Wainwright, and Rob Jones. Brent Maddox was ring bearer. Mrs.

Wicker chose for her daughter's wedding, a street length dress of pastel aqua crepe with blouson bodice trimmed with a lace collar and long full sleeves, with a pleated skirt. Mrs. Harrison, mother of the groom, attended in a dress of royal blue crepe in street length with long sleeves, jewel neckline and skirt with side drape finished with a self rose. Their flowers were cymbidium orchid MR. and MRS.

PEYTON ALEXANDER LANGFORD corsages. A reception for 300 guests followed the ceremony at the Bethesda Community Center. Serving were Cindy West, Tammy Sheridan-McCluskey exchange vows Stephanie Ellen McCluskey and George Todd Sheridan were united in marriage on March 27, in the Autaugaville Baptist Church with Rev. Paul McNeese officiating at the double-ring ceremony at 3 p.m. Parents of the bride are W.

Michael McCluskey of Verbena and Catharine W. McCluskey and the parents of the groom a are George W. Sheridan of Autaugaville and Kaye F. Sheridan. The program of music was by Mrs.

Carlton Jones, organist and vocalists, Lucretia Gay Smedley and Richard Chandler. The altar setting was decorated with wedding greenery flanked by arrangements of white, gladioli and standard baskets of palms illuminated by candles in spiral candelabra. The bride, given in marriage by her grandfather, Phillip C. Williams, wore a white ballerina- length gown of chantilly lace, sprinkled with seed pearls featuring a wedding band necklace, braceletsleeves and fitted bodice enhanced with a dropped waistline. The full lace skirt cascaded over a full silk underskirt.

The bridal bouquet was a cascade of silk gardenias, stephanotis, and peach rose buds. A picture hat covered with matching lace, accented with lustrous seed pearls held the chapel- length veil of fine English illusion. Maid of honor was Saundra K. Mrs. McCluskey, mother of the bride, attended in a pink pleated skirt, a floral pink blouse and pink jacket. Mrs. Sheridan, mother of the groom, chose a tea-length dress of pale lace over mauve colored satin; their corsages were of rosebuds and white silk flowers.

Serving at the reception in the church fellowship hall immediately following the ceremony were Lori Sheridan, Nina Jo Webb and Donna Murphy. After a week at Lake Martin the groom will return to his assignment aboard the USS New Orleans, LPH-11 F.P.O. San Francisco, and the bride will reside at 132 Beth Manor for 6 months before joining the groom in San Diego, Calif. EMILY F. WILLIAMS Williams, Ramuchak plan June wedding Mr.

and Mrs. Emmett M. Williams of Billingsley announce the engagement of their daughter, Emily Faye, to James William Ramuchak of Millbrook, son of Carol Ramuchak and the late Charles Ramuchak of Lubbock, Texas. The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs.

She will graduate in May from New Life Christian Academy in Millbrook. The prospective groom is the grandson of Inez Hughes and the late John Hughes of Lubbock, Texas. He graduated in 1984 from Coronado High School in Lubbock, Texas, and is employed in Prattville by Continental Eagle. The softly gathered majestic skirt was designed with double ruffle flounce in front which extended into a tiered ruffled, lace scalloped, chapel train.

Thompson served his son as best man; groomsmen and ushers were Jimmy Thompson, brother of the groom; Scott Myers and Brad Kirkpatrick, groom's cousins; and Nathan Lipscomb, Chip Powell, Steve Stewart, Tim Hinely and Bryan Myers. A reception in Doster Memorial Community Center followed the ceremony. After a wedding trip to Gatlinburg, the couple will be at home in Prattville. CATHY TAYLOR employed by the Dana Corporation. Henderson, Seamon to wed Mr. and Mrs. John Henderson announce the engagement of their daughter, Angela Denise, to Stacey Tappan Seamon, son of the late Lester (Dubie) Seamon and Mary Seamon of Deatsville. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Gordon Berry and Avis Berry of Deatsville and the late Jim Henderson and Annie Henderson of Wetumpka.

She graduated in 1987 from Marbury High School and is now enrolled at Draughons Junior College, majoring in market management. She is employed by Robert Troy, C.P.A. The prospective groom, a 1985 graduate of Marbury High School, is employed by Litton Von Gal. The wedding on Dec. 10 will be Whaley, Mayfield Mr.

and Mrs. William Leo Whaley announce the engagement of their daughter, Teresa Renae, to William Scott Mayfield, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Vaughn Mayfield of Moundville. Grandparents of the bride elect are Mrs.

James Edgar Whaley and the late Mr. Whaley of Greensboro, and Mrs. John Oscar Shelton and the late Mr. Shelton of Cottondale. She is a 1981 Holt High School graduate and attended Shelton State.

She is employed by Citizens Bank. The prospective groom is the grandson of Mrs. Taylor Mayfield and the late Mr. Mayfield and Mrs. Allie Nichols and the late Mr.

Nichols, all of Moundville. He graduated from Hale County High School in 1981 and is employed by ANGELA DENISE HENDERSON and STACEY TAPPAN SEAMON at 6 p.m. in the Stoney Point Church of Christ. plan June wedding of Sardis. Estudie Club The Estudie Club met Monday at the meeting room of the AutaugaPrattville Public Library. A devotion by Mrs. Scott Allen opened the meeting. Mrs. J.P.

Easterling served as hostess and provided finger foods. Mrs. Larry Puckett introduced Mrs. Gaylon Hefner. Mrs.

Hefner's topic was "Back from the Future." She supplied background on Autauga County, Prattville and Daniel Pratt. Nancy Hefner has devoted much study, time and energy to Prattville and is an authority and speaker. Her talk was enhanced by slides which encouraged the members of the Estudie Club to get involved in the preservation of the community. Pink Ladies Luncheon On Monday, April 11, the Pink Lady Auxiliary met at the Guest House for a luncheon. The Pink Lady Auxiliary had served Autauga Medical Center from 1969 to August 1987.

During their years of service over 20,000 volunteer hours were given to the hospital.
