The Dener was designed by aVusfeld and Jones, and built by Jehie Brother Construction Company, both of Uont-gomery, lor- B. Whitfield, owner of the building. Equipment was purchased by the Alabama Amusement, Inc. The expenditure for both building and equipment was about 130 .000. Approaching the theater, one first notices the 27-loot Neon electric sign which floods the exterior la shades of red, green, and blue.

Like the mouf followed in construction of the interior, the sign is of modernistic design. Below this Is the marquee, of simple design and Illuminated from the Interior. The box -cilice, located several feet from the sidewalk, is of richly polished black formica, aa are the supporting pillars of the lobby. The trimmings are of bronxe. The walls of the box-office and lobby are of gold and green tertone, and are draped in damask and vekxir of rich blends.

Two large double swinging door of mahogany provide entrance Into the foyer, where the walls are of tan and Interspersed In rose and blue. In front are draperies of green and rust, between which 1 the entrance to the auditorium. On either side of the foyer are the ladies' lounge acd men's smoker. The AsJllsMaa The main beauty of the theater Is In the auditorium Itself. Between two emergency exits tn the rear, is the stage.
