Born on Thursday, May 23, 1918, Mrs. Richardson passed away on Saturday, January 13, 2007 at the age of 88. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Dadeville. She fought a courageous battle and died after a lengthy illness. She was loved by everyone who knew her and she never met a stranger.

He graduated president of his class from Camp Hill High School and received his Bachelor of Architecture from Auburn University in 1964 where he was a proud brother of the Sigma Chi Fraternity. He was a registered architect practicing in the states of Alabama and Georgia.

He worked for the South Atlantic Division, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers where he established unique criteria for professional design contracts for architects and engineering services and developed and managed a customer design oriented process to improve customer satisfaction and design quality. He was currently working at AL-CFMO, NaGuard Headquarters serving as Architect for the Alabama National Guard Headquarters in the Construction Facilities Management Office (CFMO). His passions were following Auburn football and woodturning. He created several hundred pieces of which select pieces were shown at Art Exhibits.

He was a member of Georgia Association of Woodturners. He was preceded in death by his parents, Winford Worth and Mary Jean Glenn. Survivors include his daughter, Jennifer Deborah Newman of Auburn, AL; brother, Ted Newman of Opelika, AL; two half sisters and one half brother, Angela and Karen and David of Long Beach, California.
