The Montgomery County Council School of Instruction will take place at the First Methodist Church. Aug. 21, in the Educational Building on Clover-dale Park. Registration will begin at 9 in the morning, with the opening session starting at 9:30. The principal speaker will be Dr.

C. M. Dannelly, county su-perintendant of education. Each person present will be given a questionnaire to fill out; the questions dealing with principles and policies of the Parent-Teacher Assn. A discussion will follow.

Mrs. D. D. Black will have a short lesson on parliamentary procedure, after which the group will divide into conferences for officers and chairmen, where their specific duties will be discussed. These conferences will have as coordinators, state officers and chairmen, with county chairmen, presiding.

H. Leverett of Parrott, announce the engagement of their daughter, Carolyn Beatrice, to Earnest Harold Kelly, son of Mrs. W. M. Page of Albany and the late T.

I. Kelly. Miss Leverett is a graduate of Terrell County High School. She graduated from Abraham Baldwin Agriculture College in Tifton, Ga. in June with a two year homemaking certificate.

She received her teacher's certificate this summer from Georgia Teacher's College in Statesboro, where she was elected to serve on the house council. Mr. Kelly graduated from Terrell County High School and has been serving in the U. S. Navy the past two years.

After graduating from electronics school, he is serving aboard the USS Cavallaro, baseo. in Long Beach, Calif. The marriage will be Aug. 25 at 2 p.m. in the First Baptist Church of Tifton.

Fred Brown of Panama City, served as best man and groomsmen were Maurice Ballard, Kenneth Ballard, brothers of. the bride, Bertice Latham, brother of the groom, of Cullman, and William A. Beall, cousin of the bride, of Birmingham. Following the ceremony, Mr. and Mrs.

Archie entertained with a reception in the church parlors. For a wedding trip the bride traveled in a white linen sheath dress with waistband of embroidered linen over mauve satin. Latham Wed In Prattville PRATTVILLE, Aug. 17 The First Baptist Church of Prattville was the scene of the marriage of Miss Virginia Ballard and Wiley Gerald Latham of Panama City, and Cullman, which took place Aug. 3, at 5:30 p.m. with the Revs. Royce Eallard, brother of the bride, performing the double-ring ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Troy D. Archie of Prattville and the late B'irnett M. Ballard.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Odis Lee Latham of Cullman. Candles were lighted by Kenneth Ballard and Maurice Ballard, brothers of the bride. Nuptial music was rendered by Mrs.
