Cfi Davey Crockett, en his way west with his twin brother; Donald, stopped here for a few days. Sons of Mr. and David Crockett, thay are home on leave after completing their nine weeks of basic training at the Great Lakes Navy Training Center.

They are headed for duty in the Pacific. Davey says he was happy with his name until "that son got started." Since the Crockett craze, he wishes his name was John Doe. MiSs Barron 'is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Wesley Bar-ron, and Mr. Parsons is the son of Mrs. Ada Lee Parson of North-port, Ala.

The ceremony will be solemnized at 4:30 p.m., July 23, in the Oak Park Presbyterian Church Church with the Rev. Virgil L. Bryant officiating. Music will be by Mrs. R.

L. Radford and Miss Elizabeth Sides, Carbon Hill. Miss Sara Jo Wright, Guin, will serve as maid of honor and only bridal attendant. Joseph Parsons, brother of the groom, will serve as best man. Ushers will be Lt Charles What-ley, Steele, cousin of the bridegroom, and Ens.

and Mrs. Jones of Mobile, according to the announcement made today by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Carl L. Bloxham of Fairhope.

Miss Bloxham is a graduate of Murphy High School and of Huntingdon College. Mr. Jones is a senior in the Auburn School of Pharmacy and a member of Phi Dlta Chi. The wedding will take place in August. Miss Townsend, Mr.

O'Connor Arp Wed In Birmingham sorority. She served on the Wontn't Student Government Council and the Freshman Advisory Council. Mr. Sellers attended A.P.I., where he affiliated with Pi Kappa Alpha, Omicron Delta Kappa, and was listed in Who's Who In American Colleges and Universities. Mr.

Sellers will receive his Army commission in August. The marriage will take place in the late summer. NASHVILLE, July and Mrs. Jewc Hill Ford, of Nashville, announce the engagement of their daughter, Ann Vary, to John Lewis Sellers, son Mr. and Mrs.

Clyde C. Sellers of Montgomery. Miss Ford attended Ward-Belmont preparatory school, Hills-boro High School and Alabama Polytechnic Institute, where she was. a member of Kappa Delta white blossoms and green foliage and lighted from tapers in candelabra. Mrs.

Bessie Savage, organist, rendered the wedding music. Mr. King gave his daughter in marriage and serving as best man was Ronald Giles of Birmingham. Ushers were Franklin King, brother of the bride, and Larry Fiquett of Birmingham. Mrs.

J. L. Thompson served her sister as only bridal attendant and wore ice-blue crystalette. Her hat, fashioned of material similar to her dress, was trimmed in pink carnations. The flowers were repeated in her shower bouquet.

The bride wore Chantilly lace and nylon over satin. The, fitted bodice was topped with a high collar and the sleeves were long. The bouffant skirt swirled into a length veil of illusion was secured to a tiara of lace trimmed in rhinestones. She carried a shower bouquet of Fleur Amour, carnations and stephanotis. A reception was held in the social room of the church with the guests registered by Mrs.

Francis Xavier Church in Birmingham. The Rev. Father Michael Mul-voy of Tuscaloosa performed the 4:30 p.m. ceremony. Vincent Townsend gave his daughter in marriage.

Her gown was of white tulle. A wide band of crushed tulle and lace edged the pointed decolletage. The lace motif was repeated in the bouffant ballerina length skirt. A small pearl crown held her illusion veil and the bridal bouquet was fashioned of valley lilies. The bride's attendants were Miss Jean Jolly of Sheffield, Miss Barbara Hand and Miss Frances O'Connor of Tuscaloosa.

Their ballerina length gowns were of pale blue antique taffeta with overlays of lace forming the empire bodices. Their matching lace demi-hats had nose veils and they carried nosegays of white daisies and pink sweetheart roses. Attending the bridegroom were William Newt Hinton of Tuscaloosa, best man; John Forney and William F. O'Connor Jr. of Tuscaloosa, groomsmen; William Jamison of Tuscaloosa and Vincent Towsend ushers.

For her daughter's wedding, Mrs. Townsend chose a light blue dress of lace. Matching iridescent sequins highlighted the rose pattern of the material. Her matching lace hat was beaded. Mrs.

John Talty O'Connor of Tuscaloosa, mother of the bridegroom, was gowned in mauve chiffon. She wore a matching hat. Their flowers were orchids. The Downtown Club was the scene of the reception for the families of the couple and out-of-town guests. Mr.

He is presently on the staff of the Radio and Film Commission of the Methodist Church in Nashville. The reception was held at the home of the bride's parents Immediately after the wedding ceremony. Assisting in the reception were Mrs.

D. Sylvan Kramer, aunt of the bride. At the bride's book were Miss Mary Jo Husk and Mrs. Austin Van Pelt. Those serving were Mrs.

Alvin Newman and sons, Miss Mary Miss Emma Jane Kramer became the bride of Lyman Bose White Tuesday evening at 6:30 at the First Methodist Church in Maryville, Tenn. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Russell Reed Kramer of Maryville. Mr.

White is the son of A. Ernest White and the late Mrs. White Winona, Minn. Dr. Edward D.

Staples.of Nashville, Tenn. and Dr. Marshall Gamble of Maryville, Tenn. were the officiating ministers. The wedding music was presented by Mrs.

Glenn Shelton, organist of the First Methodist Chucch of Maryville. The bride wore a dress of swiss rgandy, basque bodice, long torso, with full floor-length skirt, and a two tiered veil of illusion was held in place with a hat of pleated organdy. Her only jewelry wag a strand of pearls, a gift of the groom. Her flowers were cascading bouquet of lillies of the alley, centered with white orchid with pekoe shower ribbon. The maid of honor was Miss Edith Goodwin of Montgomery, who wore a ballerina length dress of embroidered organdy, fashioned with long torso, square neck, and who carried yellow shasta daisies with ivy and mint reen ribbon in the shape of.
