Hoston, Miss Wheeler Pledge Vows The Holt Street Baptist Church was the setting for the recent exchange of vows between Miss Elnora Rozana Wheeler and William Hoston III, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Hoston Jr. Rev. A.

W. Wilson performed the double ring ceremony. Music was rendered by Mrs. Deloris Moss, pianist, Enoch Alexander, organist, Miss Joyce Avery and John F. Sawyer, soloist.

The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore a floor length gown of imported organza with re embroidered Alencan lace at 'he sabrina neckline and accented by a detachable 4-tie Watteau train. Her shoulder length, 4-tier bouffant veil of French illusion was attached to a crown of studded pearls and crystals. She carried a cascade white gladiolas cluttered with a white orchid. Mrs.

Hazel W. Nelson attended her sister as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Algenon Daniels, Joyce Munn, Memphis, cousin of the bride; Beverly Knox, Ruby Holly, Dorothy L. Morgan, and Valley Peterman. Wanda Nelson, niece of the bride, was flowergirl.

Her gown and headpiece was an exact replica of the bridesmaid's. Richard Nelson nephew of the bride, was ring bearer. Edward Hoston, brother of the groom, was best man. Ushers were Herbert Wheeler, brother of the bride, Charles Hoston, brother of the groom, Felix Thomas, Jimmie Johnson, Willie James Merkerson, of Sandford, and Robert Franklin, Huntsville. After a brief honeymoon, the couple is residing at Tuskegee Institute.

This committee's program is designed to encourage 1965 participants to apply for medical, cultural and educational aid through one of the 16 centers located in this city and operating under the Federal Government Anti-Poverty Program. Mrs.

Zenobia Johnson, chairman of the committee, made an appeal to teachers and volunteers to contact the children whom they think are eligible to receive aid. Rev. J. L. Moody, field clinic representative, stated that a is set up on Saturday at the First Baptist Church on Ripley Street to accommodate those who join.

He emphasized that there will be no charges for these services. Rev. Moody further stated that the committee is primarily concerned about student participants of the 1965 summer program, who have not enrolled in this program. Parents of these children are urged to have them to report to one of the 16 centers on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to p.m.

Free transportation is provided in many of the areas. New applicants are encouraged to enroll.
