The bric is the granddaughter of Mrs. Paul Johnson of Jacksonville, and the late Oscar Hunter Stephens of Evergreen, and of the late Mr.

and Mrs. Clayton Cox of Montgomery. Miss Cox graduated from Sidney Lanier High School and will graduate June 28 from Judson College in Marion, Ala, Mr. Thames is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs.

William Kingsbury Thames Jr. of Greenville, and of Mrs. Joseph Requier Rutland and the late Dr. Rutland of Montgomery. A graduate of Starke University, the future bridegroom was also graduated from Marion Institute and is a student at Auburn University.

The First Baptist Church will be the setting for the August 22 wedding. Miss Inge Prytz Engaged To William Johnson Jr. NAKSKOV, DENMARK The engagement of Miss Inge Prytz to William Tipton Johnson son of Mr. and Mrs. William Tipton Johnson of is announced by her parents, Dr.

and Mrs. Dan Prytz. The marriage will be an event of July 17 in Nakskov. Grandparents of brideelect are the late Mr. and Mrs.

Jorgen Juul and the late Mr. and Mrs. Carl V. Prytz. Miss Prytz graduated from the University of Copenhagen School of Law and from the University of Alabamas School of Law with of Comparative Law Degree.

She is a member of Kappa Beta Pi legal sorority. Mr. Johnson is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Laban Warren Tyson of Montgomery and of Dr.

and Mrs. Albert Sidney Johnson of Tuscumbia. A graduate of the University of Alabama with an A.B. degree, Mr. Johnson has also received a J.D.

degree from PATRICIA BUCKHALT Buckhalt-McNab Marriage Set DOTHAN Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Buckhalt Jr. announce the engagement of their daughter, Patricia Elaine, to Jackie Lamar McNab, son of Mr. and Mrs.

J. 0. McNab of Dothan, The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. I.

E. Buckhalt of Dothan and of Mrs. Lewis Dawkins and the late Mr. Dawkins of Montgomery. A graduate of Dothan High School, Miss Buckhalt is a junior at Troy State University.

Mr. McNab's grandparents are Mrs. C. L. Murphy and the late Mr.

The future bridegroom graduated from Marion Institute, where he was a member of the White Knight drill team. The wedding will take place August 29 the Selma Baptist Church in Dothan. Lander Plan To Wed The engagement of Miss Sandra Ellen Wright, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George LeGrand Wright to Steven Turner Lander, son of Mr. and Mrs. Stanton Norman Lander of Montgomery, is announced by her parents.

Miss Wright, a student at Jefferson Davis High School, is the granddaughter of Mrs. Robert F. Lee and the late Mr. Lee of Savannah, Ga. and of Mrs.

and Mrs. George L. Wright of Chicago, Ill. Grandparents of the future bridegroom are Mrs. D.

C. Turner and the late Mr. of Holmes Beach, Fla. and Mrs. Stanton Lander and the late Mr.

Lander of Florida. Mr. Lander is a graduate of Jefferson Davis High School and will enter Huntingdon College in September. He is currently in the USAF Reserve in Biloxi, Miss. The marriage will take place July 18 in the First Baptist Church.

in the First Baptist Church of Montgomery. Mrs. Lewis Figh organist, and John Condra, soloist, presented a program of nuptial music. Parents of the bride are Mr. and Mrs.

Carroll Jordan Griggs of Montgomery and the bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Carl H. Stewart of Prattville. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a gown of candlelight silk organza designed with Empire bodice of Alencon lace shaped with a scalloped scoop neckline.

The bell sleeves of organza were banded with the lace, and motifs of the lace enhanced the A-line skirt. She carried a cascade of white roses and stephanotis with an orchid center. Mrs. Bob Brooks Jr. was matron of honor.

Other attendants were Mrs. Larry M. Young and Mrs. Dale Huff, both of Montgomery; Miss Ann Grant and Miss Sara Lee Fogarty of Prattville, cousins of the groom; and Miss Clarice Porter of Selma, cousin of the bride. The attendants wore gowns of maize accented with yellow embroidered floral The necklines and deep cuffs of the Bishop sleeves were ruffled.

They wore matching bows and streamers with maline veils as headpieces. Miss Kim Coffee was flower girl and Joel Meek was ring bearer; both are cousins of the bride. Mr. Stewart assisted his son as best man. Ushers were Paul McGuire, Keith Grimes and Bob Brooks of Montgomery, Glenn Dunn, Stewart Posey and John Fogarty of Prattville and Larry Vinson of Auburn.

The reception was held at Hillcrest, after which the couple left for a wedding trip to New Orleans, La. Mr. and Mrs. Stewart will reside in Linden. MRS.

CARL STEWART JR. Miss McCafferty Wed To William Gauntt MOBILE Miss Corinna McCafferty, daughter of Dr. Emit Luther McCafferty became the bride of William Marshall Gauntt of Montgomery June 3 in St. Joseph's Chapel Spring Hill College, with Rev. Lawrence Manning O'Neill officiating.

The bride wore a candlelight silk organza gown designed on Empire lines. The bodice and short sleeves were tucked beaded with pearls, and the train fell from the yoke in back. Her cathedral-length mantilla was her grandmother's, Brussels lace also been worn by the bride's mother. was her sister's maid of Miss, Elizabeth McCafferty honor, and bridesmaids were Misses Margaret Ellen and Denise Marcell Gauntt, sister of the bridegroom; Miss Veronica Herndon, Miss Mary Hartley King; Miss Elizabeth Bodden Lutz; Miss Jane Conner Hand; Miss Marcia Geraldine Mortensen, all of Mobile; and Mrs. Thomas Edward McMillan of Tuscaloosa.

The attendants wore Thai silk gowns in muted shades of pink, green and blue on a candlelight background. The wrap-around skirt crossed above the ankles and fell to the floor in back. Mr. Gauntt, son of Mr. and Mrs.

William Lane Gauntt of Montgomery, was attended by his father as best man. MRS. of Prattville. The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a white peau de soie gown which was made by her mother. The traditional fitted gown featured a scooped neck and long, tapered sleeves. Appliques of lace and seed pearls enhanced the bodice and hemline, as well as the fulllength train. She carried a bouquet of white rosebuds.

Matron of honor was Mrs. C. M. Kelley of Montgomery, sister of the bride. Miss Mary A ceremony at 6:30 p.m.

June 5 united in marriage Miss Deborah Denise Darnell and Lt. Michael Wray Hampton, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert R. Hampton of Akron, Ohio.

Carroll W. Puckett officiated in Chapel No. 2 at Maxwell AFB, and organist Sgt. Balius presented nuptial music. Byron Benson was acapella soloist.

The bride, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James N. Darnell of Eclectic, was given in marriage by her father. She wore a gown of white peau satin designed A-line fashion, with bodice and short sleeves of reembroidered net daisy lace.

The lace accented the hemline and edged the full-length train. She carried a cascade of roses, babies breath and white orchid. pink, Maid of honor was Miss Diana Darnell of Eclectic, sister of the bride. Other attendants were Miss Jennie Lynn Brooks of Hill, S.C., cousin of the bride; Miss Marty Parker and Miss Nishie Michele Darnell of Eclectic, sister of the bride, junior bridesmaid. Party Compliments Miss Debra Spiro Miss Debra Spiro, a graduating senior of Robert E.

Lee High School, was honored recently with an informal party when Mrs. Margaret Pebworth and Mrs. Harry Dunn of Gadsden, the honoree, entertained in the Pebworth home on Brewton St. Miss Spiro plans to enter Auburn University in the fall. Groomsmen were Emit Luther McCafferty III, brother of the bride; Richard Proctor, Layne Stephen Wallock; John Malcolm Melnnis, all of Montgomery; Thomas Stephen McGahey, of Columbus, Atlee Snyder of Alexandria, Raymond Lanier Roton of Tallassee and Russell Alan Quarles of Tuscaloosa.

The reception, immediately following ceremony, was held at the Mobile Country Club. Mr. and Mrs. Gauntt will live in Tuscaloosa, where they are students at the University of Alabama. Patricia Trenkle of Huntsville was matron of honor.

Bridesmatrons were Mrs. John Thomas Culpepper of MRS. H. WILLIAMS Montgomery and Mrs. Stanley Webster of Lexington, Ky.

Miss Ann McQueen of Tallassee and Miss Diane Williams, sister of the bridegroom were bridesmaids. The attendants wore floorlength hot-pink chiffon gowns trimmed at cuffs and under the bodice with lace. Each carried a bouquet of pink rosebuds. Miss Michelle Williams, sister of the bridegroom, was flower girls. George Robert Blackmon of Prattville attended as best man.

Ushers wert Billy Culpepper, brother of the bride, of San Diego, Larry Larry McGraw of Montgomery, Larry Tatum, Glenn Dunn and Ken Woodfin of Prattville. Ronald nephew of the bride, was ring-bearer. A reception was held, after which the couple left for a wedding trip to Texas. Mr. and Mrs.

By Wrisley. -Stone Vows Repeated In Decatur DECATUR The home of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Jennings Stone was the setting June 5 for the marriage of their daughter, Marguerite Carol, to Dr. Stonewall Boulet Stickney, son of Mr.

and Mrs. Enoch Morgan Stickney of Mobile. Dr. Minar Tripplett of Sylacauga performed the 11 a.m. ceremony, and Morgan White of Huntsville, pianist, presented nuptial music.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a white street-length dress of linen and Venise lace. The bodice of the A-line dress was designed with short sleeves and a stand-up neckline heavily appliqued with the lace, the lace also edging the hemline. She wore a hemline veil of silk illusion edged in matching Venise lace and carried a prayer book topped with gardenias and stephanotis. Mrs. William Edwin Thomas of Panama City, Fla.

attended her sister as matron of honor and wore an aqua linen suit with matching headdress. The bride's niece, Miss Virginia Gibson Thomas of Panama City was flower girl and carried a basket of daisies. Nicholas H. Holmes of Mobile attended Dr. Stickney as best man.

Immediately following the ceremony a reception was held in the Stone home, which is located on the Tennessee River. After a wedding trip to Yucatan, Central America, Dr. and Mrs. Stickney will reside in Montgomery. Bride-Elect Feted At Lingerie Shower crepe with deep purple trim and carried light pink asters.

After a reception, the couple left for a wedding trip to the Smokey Mountains, and will reside in Montgomery upon their return. Among the guests attending were Mrs. Ralph Stanford and Orren Glenn Perdue, mother and grandmother of the bridegroom-elect.
