Russell leads a busy fessional and civic life. Being identified with numerous educational agencies, she keeps abreast with the best in training in personnel, and in modern improvement. Mrs. Russell has won many citations and trophies for demonstrations and clinics throughout America. She served for the past the faculty of The Beauty Culturist League.

She received an honorary Master's degree in Beauty Culture from the National Institute of Cosmetology in Miami, in 1958. Mrs. Russell has trayeled extensively throughout the U.S.A. and Continental Europe, studying in London, and Germany. Mrs.

Hamilton, pastor of the Tabernacle Baptist Church, Augusta, will be conducting a revival at the Greenwood Missionary Baptist Church, Tuskegee Institute. The Rev. Hamilton is a native of Cedartown, Ga. and holds the A.B. degree from Morehouse College; B.D.

degree from Morehouse School of Religion a Master of Sacred Theology from The Interde no min a- tional Theological Center, Atlanta, Ga. His former HAMILTON pastorates include First Baptist Church, LaGrange, and First Baptist Church, Thomasville, Ga. He has held his present pastorate for more than 10 years. Among his affiliations are: president of the Augusta Chapter NAACP, vice president of New Era Missionary Baptist Convention of Georgia, Georgia Advisory Committee to the Commission on Civil Rights; vice president of the Georgia Human Relations Council; member of the Richmond County Democratic Committee; president af the Gwinnett Street Investment Company, and member of the City Council of Augusta. All services will begin at 7:30 in the evening except on Sunday night when they will start at 7 p.m.

C. J. TROTMAN Dothan Man Awarded MD From Howard DOTHAN Mr. and Mrs. John L.

Trotman, 1411 Carver Dothan, announce the graduation of their son, Charles Jerome Trotman, from the Howard University College of Medicine, with the M.D. degree, on June 3. Upon completion of the 11th grade at Carver High School, Dothan, Dr. Trotman entered Morehouse College, Atlanta, on an early entrance scholarship. He graduated from Morehouse with high honors, June, 1962, and entered Howard University the fall of that year.

While attending the College of Medicine at Howard, he was a member of Student American Medical Honor Society (SAMA) and was recently elected to Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Trotman will do his internship at the Veterans Administration Hospital, Brooklyn N.Y. City Resident Vanderbilt Awards Grant To Tennessee Grad NASHVILLE Levi Watkins "Student of the Year" and Student Body president at Tennessee State University, will study medicine at Vanderbilt University on a $1,500 renewable fellowship beginning in September. Watkins, the son of President Levi Watkins and Mrs. Watkins of Alabama State College, Montgomery, has been accepted as a freshman medical student. The first Negro to be admitted to study medicine there, he is one of 10 Negroes across the country to receive a $1,500 fellowship to study medicine from the National Medical Fellowship of Chicago.

Watkins, who majored under Dr. John M. Mallette, professor of biology at the University, was recommended by Dr. Mallette and was selected as one of 25 juniors across the country to study at the Brain Institute at UCLA last summer. Gale Street Hosts City Revival K.

K. Mitchell, minister of the Holt Street Church of Christ will serve as evangelist for the city-wide gospel meeting to be held at Gale Street Church Christ, June 12 through July Evangelist Mitchell, a native of Atlanta, came to Montgomery in January, 1955. His early training was received in the public schools of Atlanta. Later, he entered the Nashville Christian Institute in Nashville, Tenn. There he spent five and graduated from the high school department.

Later graduated from Fisk University, receiving an A.B. degree. Recently he received his M.A. degree from Alabama State College. This meeting is being sponsored by: Madison Park Church of Christ, New Town, Holt Street, LeGrand, Gail Street and Vineyard Church of Christ.
